Ladies it is time to get on those bikes and get out to enjoy the outdoors! It’s a beautiful route with no big climbs, relatively flat and safe for beginners.
The plan is to meet and greet in Afan lodge at 1:30, this will be a chance to fill in some forms and have a chat about thew day!
We will then do a basic mechanics check of every bodies bike and talk about the bits of the bikes to give you a basic knowledge. We will then do a skills session to see how everyone is on the bike, make sure that you know how to change gear, break efficiently and safely, and a few more basic skills. This will all last about 40 minutes depending on how everyone is.
We will then go for a ride which will take us along a cycle path and off road onto a gravel path through the woods. We will stop half way around in the purpose built skills area so that you can have a play around with your skills. We will then continue the ride and back to the lodge for coffee.
It’s a beautiful route with no big climbs, relatively flat and safe for beginners. We will stop as many times as you need to rest and of course take pictures as it’s so beautiful.

A well fitting helmet, gloves and a drink. If you are bringing your own bike, IT HAS TO BE IN GOOD WORKING ORDER or you WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RIDE. If you need to hire a bike, contact us and we will help you with this at a local hire.
We will have a British cycling mountain bike leader level 2 and hold a valid ITC outdoor first aid certificate who will help provide us with loads of fun. We are collaborating with Mountains and Memories guided rides for women.
